Combinational vision

A player's ability to foresee the possibility of a combination in advance. Good combinational vision is an important key to victory. Combinational vision is not always a natural gift — it can be developed through systematic training: analyzing typical combinations and games, solving problems and studies, and so on. The term "combinational vision" was coined by Botvinnik.
