Maneuvering

A series of maneuvers with various pieces, lasting for some time but not always with a clear, specific aim. Alongside waiting maneuvering there is also forced, defensive, and planned maneuvering.

Maneuvering is often used in closed positions to regroup the pieces without any visible plan of attack yet. The outlines of a plan take shape only once the maneuvering is over.
